Analysis of Digipaks - Rihanna, Talk That Talk

This digipak has 6 panels, and 2 inserts. These inserts will have images in, information about the album and may have lyrics to the songs in. The font cover has Rihanna as the focal point, she is in the center and is the biggest thing on the cover. The album title is written in a serif font, making it appear classic. Rihanna's logo of the 'R' is very sharp, this could suggest that she is dangerous, the fact that smoke is coming out of mouth also could suggest danger. The images on the panels are all quite dark, this could imply that the album has dark themes. The back cover has another image of Rihanna, this one is flipped upside down, she is smoking a cigarette which again adds to her danger. The back cover includes a bar-code and a track-list. The track-list on this album runs along the edge rather than at the bottom, the font is red, almost telling the audience to read at their own risk. The CD design looks like a news paper article, this with her name and the album title as the headline, this is an interesting way to present the CD as it makes it look like she in serious news.
