Analysis of Song Lyrics - Sweet Dispositon, The Temper Trap

Sweet dispositon
Never too soon
Oh, reckless abandon
Like no one's watching you

A moment of love
A dream
A laugh
A kiss
A cry

Our rights
Our wongs
A moment of love
(A dream
 A laugh)
A moment of love
(A dream
 A laugh)

So stay thre
'Cause I'll be coming over
While our blood's still young
It's so young, it runs

Songs of desperation
I played them for you

A moment of love
A dream
A laugh
A kiss
A cry
Our rights
Our Wrongs
A moment of love
(A dream
 A laugh)
A moment of love
(A dream
 A laugh)

Stay there
'Cause I'll be coming over
While our blood's still young
It's so young, it tuns
Won't stop 'til its over
Won't stop to surrender

Won't stop 'til it's over
Won't stop 'til it's over
Won't stop 'til it's over
Won't stop to surrender

[playing behind the previous verse
A moment of love
A dream
A laugh
A kiss
A cry
Our rights
Our wrong
A moment of love
(A dream
 A laugh)
A moment of love
(A dream
 A laugh)

The band have said in an interview that the song is about being young and how when you're young you can rush into things without thinking about it first and how thats not the case when you grow older into adulthood. The song explores young love in a way that makes it seem forbidden, this is shown through the line 'Won't stop to surrender'. The line 'while our blood is still young' emphasises the bands explanation of the song. The list of actions mimics a real relationship and the ups and downs it goes though and even though it is very simple its still very meaningful.
